My son decided to make a large built in shelf in a room we share for stashing stuff. Of course my sewing takes up a large portion. But I can honestly say the room was a mess! So after cleaning everything out and doing some organizing, I was pleasantly surprised to find an old quilting project I had forgotten about. Our quilt guild had Sandy Turner (years ago) come up and do a one day class. She was a wonderful teacher and our project was called " Around the Twist". I had always wanted to make one and I had this wonderful Kaffe Fassett fabric I wanted to use. Here is what I found wrapped up in large piece of batting just waiting to be worked on again. I brought it to my shop so there would be no excuses. Rainy slow days are perfect for this… I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

Anyone that knows Alex Anderson can tell you she is an industry unto herself… She has so many cool things going on, and thankfully in my case cannot do everything herself. So I get to help! Alex is redoing one of her many books with beautiful bright fabrics… I can't wait. But today I'm doing paper piecing clean up.. here is a peek at one of the quilts redone….
